I use the car whenever he doesn't use it but as a majority he covers more miles than I do, some weeks it's 50/50 usage others I use it not as much. Hi everyone I live in the UK and I insure my car with Direct Line. I have never had any issues with them before apart from now that I have a new car. I have several years no claims for my driving, most of which are through policies with Direct Line. However, the first 2 years I was driving I was with another insurance company and gained 2 years no claims with them. When I took out my latest policy with Direct Line after buying a new vehicle they said they needed to see proof of my no claims. I contacted my old insurance company who sent me a letter confirming these years and I sent this to Direct Line, they said they never received it so I requested another letter and sent this one also but via Recorded Delivery. It is now a month on and Direct Line are claiming they haven't received this one either although proof of postage and tracking shows it was signed for. PLEASE HELP ! Where can I get the best/cheapest car insurance deal ?

I have tried various price comparison sites without success . I need to get a low / cheap fully comprehensive car insurance policy for my son to be able to insure his car . We are an extremely low income family In order to drive his car on British roads my son needs to have an MOT certificate , Road Tax and Insurance . That is the Law of this land ! The Car only cost him 200 , I am not going to suggest that we break any laws but he should not have to pay out 15 times the cars value to get insurance to drive the car on British Roads , that is absolutely ridicules ! PLEASE CAN SOMEONE SOMEWHERE HELP There is NO PUBLIC transportation to get him to his place of employment , he needs his own transport , riding a bicycle is out of the question , he would be exhausted by the time he got there as his work place is 8 miles away , in windy weather he would be blown of it and in wet weather he would be soaked to the skin before he got there , he has to use his car . If I took him to work , I would have to make the 8 mile journey 4 times , if he does it , the journey would be twice . His Mother has her own car but works the opposite direction . her insurance is less than 500 but that is more than twice my insurance because I have held a driving license for longer , my insurance is very much lower . Our Son is too young to legally drive my vehicle . PLEASE HELP

Can I buy a car and drive it home same day without insurance? First time car buyer?

Same as above really, I recently passed my test and I know nothing about cars, I was just wondering if I see a nice car and I wanted to buy it, could I buy it and drive it away same day without having insurance. Or can I insure to drive a car for a few days with those temporary insurance covers and then insure it properly when i brought the car? A little confused here..

Friend hit my car, will my insurance go up?

Alright well tonight I was doing some work on my friends car so I had his car up on some ramps and my car was parked behind. Well for some reason he felt it nessessary to back up as far as he could from the ramps and ended up backing right up into my car. It damaged the bumper pretty well so i'd like to have it repaired. My questions are one will my insurance rise if I get it repaired under his insurance? And will his insurance go up because of it? If so how much? I live in Arizona if that is of any help
